Lily Sarafan is President and Chief Operating Officer of Home Care Assistance, a pioneer in the booming $100B in-home care market, where she has led the company from startup to category leader with more than 5000 employees and retail brand presence in 100 global markets.
Lily provides expert guidance on consumer services and healthcare to venture capitalists, Fortune 500 companies and public sector leaders. She is the founder of a health tech startup and a mentor at 500 Startups and Avatech Accelerator. She is also an active angel investor and sits on the Boards of consumer and digital health companies, the Stanford Alumni Association and the Berkeley Program on Entrepreneurship and Development.
Lily has been featured in Silicon Valley’s 40 under 40 and in Forbes, Entrepreneur, USA Today and cover stories for President&CEO and Smart Business. She is a frequent speaker and leader at events including Women’s Leadership Forum and the White House Conference on Aging.
Lily holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering and B.S. in Science Technology and Society with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from Stanford University, where she was Eben Tisdale Fellow, Class President and Chappell-Lougee Scholar in conjunction with her landmark research on the role of the Internet in Iran.
Lily is a longtime active member of the Iranian-American community. She sits on the boards of Persian Tech Entrepreneurs, Pars Equality Center and the National Iranian American Council. Most recently, she served on the steering committees for iBRIDGES and TEDxKish, the first global TED event in Iran. Lily has worked and traveled in more than 60 countries.
